These pages contain our more in-depth proposals, framing documents, and “provocative papers” created in preparation for the July 8, 2010 Economic Development Summit of the New Deal for the City Community Congress. These documents were created by the Community Economic Development work group of the 2010 Community Congress over the course of nine months. Participation in the work group, which varied over time, included the following organizations: Asian Neighborhood Design, Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center, Chinatown Community Development Center, Chinese Progressive Association, Coleman Advocates, Community Housing Partnership, Community Recyclers, Council of Community Housing Organizations, Filipino Community Development Corporation, Jobs with Justice, the Living Wage Coalition, PODER, and POWER.
